A sigh of relief!
I’m happy to report that the washing machine will live to do more laundry. As Mike suspected, there was just a loose connection inside the thing…he took the front panel off, and fixed it.
I don’t know which is more of a relief…not having to buy a new washer, or not having to go to the laundromat. Damn, but I HATE the laundromat! If there is such a place as hell, I suspect that one of its seven inner circles is a laundromat. Another would be Route 1 in Saugus, MA, where the mall and every chain store known to humankind is. All the more reason I much prefer to buy Wii accessories and other electronics and stuph online!
If we did have to buy a new washer, I’d buy it online, just as we did with the dryer this past winter. I’ve seen these fancy-assed washers and dryers that cost over $1,000 EACH, and I don’t get it. If we went to Sears or any other store in person, no doubt we’d be accosted by a pushy salesperson who’d try to sell us the most expensive appliance in the store. All I want is an inexpensive basic machine that works.

I am NOT thrilled over stoopid Hurricane Danny…which I take it is now a tropical storm. What is up with us getting these storms this year? The way I see it, choosing to live in New England and having to put up with cold and snow should excuse us from hurricanes and stuph during baseball season. Why do we have to have BOTH?
I’m pissed because we have tickets to a Brockton Rox game tomorrow, and no doubt it will be rained out. We also have tickets to the Fisher Cats game on Sunday, our last one there this year, and it had better NOT be rained out!
Hopefully, no more hurricanes/tropical storms for a while…we’re going up to Portland for Labor Day weekend, to see three Sea Dogs games. If I see as much as one drop of rain, I’ll be mighty pissed!
