Al Franken was RIGHT!
Rush Limbaugh IS a big fat idiot!
If you are not already aware of this sorry fact, here is more evidence, that can be found in this article: Limbaugh released; no heart trouble found.
Okay, so I’m glad he’s okay, I don’t wish death on him or anything. I actually understand the fear over the chest pain stuph, because it’s happened to me, too. It IS very scary!
He does have the right to run his mouth on the radio, just as I have the right to choose not to listen to him. Fair enough.
This is what I take issue with:
Limbaugh couldn’t resist a few political comments in the short press conference at the hospital. He said he got the best health treatment in the world “right here in the United States of America.”
“I don’t think there’s one thing wrong with the United States health system,” Limbaugh said.
What a stupid wanker! No one ever said that the quality of health care in this country is sub-par. What many of us have a problem with is the fact that it is out of reach for many Americans. Rush Limbaugh has money and good insurance, he has no problem getting the best of care. But health insurance is expensive, many people can’t afford it, and some of those who can, can’t get insured due to this *pre-existing condition* crap.
These are the exact sort of right-wing rich jerks who Just Don’t Get It. We have good insurance, too, we’re happy with the health care we get now. But I’ve been on the other side, too, I understand what many people have to deal with. The late Senator Ted Kennedy was also very wealthy, probably richer than Rush, was never poor a day in his life, but he got it. He spent his life working to try to get every American the right to good quality health care at an affordable price. He believed that everyone should have access to the same level of care that he enjoyed as a Senator, as a wealthy person.
I bet if Rush ever lost all his money and insurance, he’d be singing a different tune. I guess he thinks that all low-income people should just die. What a big fat idiot!
