…our baseball weekend , the first weekend in April is a GO!

After I picked up Mike at the Oak Grove T station, after this sales pitch doctor’s appointment at Masshole General, we went to dinner at Tex-ass Toadhouse. We talked about all of this shit, including how this might affect the trip to Portland to see the Sea Dogs. We have tickets for three games for Opening Weekend…kick-ass box seats. We went up there in person the day the tickets went on sale and bought them at the box office. That is the best way to be sure to score such kick-assed seatage.

Anyway, Mike is not one for long-range planning, so I had to ask him…it’s just a little more than a month away. Are we going or not? I need to make reservations for the hotel NOW, if yes, and if no, I need to also know so that I can find someone to buy the tickets from us.

The problem is that these doctors act like dictators…for example, this sales pitch appointment today. He was given NO choice as to when it was. He went to the one doctor that Dr. Y sent him to, who wanted the second opinion. Said doctor said that someone from Masshole General would call back with the time and date for this sales pitch appointment. No choice as to when it would be, no *when is good for you?*, nothing. They just called, said when it was, and tough shit if we didn’t like it.

So, with my kind of luck, some doctor might decide to railroad Mike into surgery or something, timing it so that it will interfere with this trip. I had to discuss this with him, so that I could plan things accordingly.
