You know what is a good cat toy? A Pen. Really. They see the pen on a desk or other surface, and then KNOCK it to the floor. Then the fun begins, as they bat it all over the house. It makes nifty noises on bare floors. And if it’s shiny, all the better for kitty fun!

I talked yesterday about buying pens for Mike that were inscribed with “I Stole This Pen From Mike Murphy”, to keep people from stealing them at his place of employment. But maybe I should get purrsonalized pens for all of the kitties, too. I could put their names on them, or I could just get a generic pen that says, ‘This Pen Is A Cat Toy”.

Not that this would stop them from swiping OUR pens for use as cat toys, now…
