Sing along with me…
What are the top five songs you want to sing along to every time you hear them? Here are mine, in no particular order…
1. “Town Without Pity” by Gene Pitney - I just love this song! I’m not much of a singer, but I can do this one well. Yet, sone asshole at a karaoke bar refused to let me do it, because I’m a girl and it’s a *guy* song. Asshole.
2. “Tessie” by Dropkick Murphys - I try to remember to play this before every Red Sox game…when I remember to, the Sox win, and when I don’t, they lose. I need to go and play it NOW!
3. “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond - Another song that is big with Sox fans…during the eighth inning, they play it, and it goes, “Sweet Caroline (bum bum bum, from the fans), good times never seemed so good (so good, so good so good, from the fans). Most minor league parks in New England have picked up on this “Sweet Caroline” tradition, and I always love to sing along!
4. “I’m Henry the Eighth, I Am” by Herman’s Hermits - I once scared away a bunch of local FFA™ members from peeping in my window by singing along with this. Also, we saw Peter Noone (”Herman”) in concert a few years ago, and he was so much fun…he MADE us all sing along to this song!
5. “Dead Skunk” by Loudon Wainwright III - This song doesn’t even have to be playing when I sing it…we drive around a lot, and it does hit our olfactory…it’s dead, it’s in the middle, and it’s stinking to HIGH HEAVEN!
So, what songs do YOU like to sing along to? Post your list on your own blog, and leave a comment here to let me know where it is!
