Whew…
I was getting worried for a bit there! Mike and I had planned a vacation for the last week in August, to go up to Portland for some choo-choo train thing that he wants to go to. Also, we have Sea Dogs tickets for two games that week.
So I e-mailed our cat-sitter, Patti, and it was longer than I expected before I heard back…turns out she was having internet problems. She uses the evil Comcast for her internet and phone, and it wasn’t working at her place. Yet another good reason for ME not to use it. Anyhoo, we are now all set with her…she has our key, and will show up on the dates I asked for.
This will be two months from now…now I have to nag Mike to put in for that week off from work. He keeps forgetting to do it.
But it will be fun…we will be going up to Portland, and staying at the Inn at St. John for four nights. We love this place, and now, even if there is no fridge in the room we get, I have my new portable mini-fridge. To assist in my thirst-quenching needs, I hope to have my very own soda maker to take along on the trip…I can win one if you’d please go forth and vote for me!
But now that I have this thing, I bet we DO have a fridge in the room! No matter, we’ll still have the mini-fridge anyway. insurance is always a good idea!
So, we have the Sea Dogs games for Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30. These are night games. and the choo-choo train stuph is in the daytime. I doubt I will go to any to the train stuph…I get bored at it easily, just like Mike gets bored at the scrapbook shows I like to go to. I didn’t make him go to the show in Manchester last weekend, so he won’t try to drag me to the choo-choo train show. We’ll both have our cell phones on, and whn he’s ready to find me, he can call my cell, and I can tell him that I’m at Gritty’s or Sebago Brewing Company in downtown Portland. Hanging out and drinking good beer is always fun!
But now that the catsitter is all set up, I can fully look forward to this trip!
