Lookee! My other Ye Olde Blogge, Tales From The Ballpark, @ fenwayfaithful dot com, has won the weekly $100 drawing at PayU2Blog.

This would have been a completely sucky week for me, with all of the crap that I’ve been dealing with, that has nearly pushed me over the edge. But in ONE WEEK, I won a trip to Las Vegas, and now $100 in cash. Someone is clearly looking out for me here!

Now, they say that things come in threes…is that good things, as well as bad? If it’s good things, maybe we’ll win the MegaMillions drawing tonight.

Now that would kick some SERIOUS ass.

But I am thrilled with all I did win! Thanks, guys!

I didn’t PM, as I didn’t feel like hitting the forum at all. But I e-mailed the other mods at the board, told them the whole saga, and said that I’d had enough.

We shall wait and see what they say. But I feel a LOT better now that I wrote it and hit that SEND button!

Well, yesterday, Ted posted links to the five entries he selected on a new PPP blog post. They are now up for vote on the PPP boards…and you can see the thread here.

The last time I checked, I am far in the lead, with 67% of the votes. Sadly, Marcus had to pretty much withdraw from the competition, as he now finds he will be unable to attend PostieCon due to his work schedule. But he was kind enough to post on the boards and tell people to vite for me instead…thank you, Marcus!

You do need to be registered and logged in to the PPP boards in order to vote. But PLEASE do not sign up just to vote, please only sign up for these boards if you are interested in PPP and will contribute to the discussions in some way. If you’re not a member of the forums, you can still check every day to see how I’m doing in the voting…at least I think you can! And if you are a member and logged in, you can only vote once.

Who’da thunk that a baseball game rainout might pay off big time? On the day I did that post, we were supposed to go to a PawSox game with Drew and Allison. But that was when that big old nasty nor’easter hit us, so the game was a washout. I had nothing else to do, so I spent a couple of hours creating the pictures and stuph for the post.

I don’t have a video camera or other fancy equipment, so I used what I had to make this post. Scrapbook supplies, and image editing software.

…as in Our Actual Car. It is not as gold in real life as it was in that pic I snagged off the Ford website, but it is still gold. Those are our actual Red Sox license plates on it, but I digitally obscured the number for obvious reasons.

I think I mentioned that I had decided to try Bare Escentuals makeup, and I went and ordered the Starter Kit. Well, it came the other day, and I am thrilled with it so far! It really does give me better coverage than anything else I’ve ever used.

Only bummer was that they forgot to put the eyeshadow kit that I’d ordered along with this into the box. I e-mailed them about it…hope I hear back soon! I WANT MY STUPH!

That would be my brand spankin’ new iPod 30 GB with color video display. That was freakin’ FAST…at the time I ordered it, I really didn’t expect to see it until next week.

So now it’s all charged up, and I put some songs onto it. I just did the old drag & drop thing…very easy! I have more songs on MusicMatch that I need to migrate over to iTunes, so I can put them on my iPod, too.

I think I am going to spend the cash and buy something like this for use in the car. I don’t want any complicated shit that we’d have to install…especially not now, that someone around here has been breaking into cars and stealing shit out of them. Something like this, that I just plug in and use just while in the car, and can easily remove it, is what I need.

Because of the thievery thing, we don’t want to install the XM car antenna, so we can’t listen to that all the time in the car. So with the iPod and this accessory, we’ll have something to listen to in the car when we can’t pick up the satellite.

The local radio stations around here suck, anyway. I do only satellite or my own music collection now.

IT’S COMING TODAY!

My iPod, that is. When I checked the tracking yesterday, it said that it was due to arrive on Monday. I checked it again just now, and it said that it’s on the truck, out for delivery.

Hopefully, it’ll get here before the snow gets too bad, and they’ll have to reschedule delivery back to Monday.

…can’t trust that day…

Or so they say. But that is the day that my kick-assed new iPod will be mine! That will be the day that Brown will come a-knockin’, bearing my new toy.

That is, if the stupid flooping snowstorm that we’re supposed to get around here doesn’t delay the delivery. UPS stuph that is coming to me usually hits Chelmsford, which is right on I-495, before it hits Somerville, which is 5 miles away from here, before it comes to my door. Snow almost always hits worse around and outside of I-495, and usually a LOT worse than we inside 495 get. This HAS delayed more than a few UPS shipments in the past.

I WANT MY NEW TOY!

I am so sick of winter! It’s March already, it’s time for it to stop!

My new iPod is on its way to me! I can’t WAIT to get it!

I should have ordered some sort of a whosamajigger so I can play it in the car. The Apple site had plenty of options, but the cheapest one is a cassette player adaptor like this. I have to link to products from somewhere other than the Apple site, as the links stop working after session timeout. But Apple does have a simliar cassette whosit for the exact same price. I had mentioned yesterday that I WAS going to buy from Sears, due to the 2% cash back from eBates. But only if I could pick it up at the store…stupid store didn’t have the one I wanted, and the guy who called me tried to sell me one of the ones they had.

But hell…I WAS going to drop $200 on a 4GB Nano…so why not go $50 more and get the one with video and a LOT more GB? If I’m spending the cash, I should get what I want, and not what some guy at Sears is trying to sell me over the phone, right?

Anyhoo, it’s been shipped, and it should be here soon. I was happy to see that Apple requires a signature when the item is delivered…no stooooopid UPS guy just leaving it on the porch. For the most part, our regular UPS guys knock on the door and wait for me to answer, even if the shipper didn’t require a signature. They well know about the whole *they’ll steal it if it’s not nailed down* sort of thing. But just in case there’s some different, fuckwit UPS guy working that day, it’s good to know that I will have to sign for it.

I can’t wait to get it!
