People are scum, part #…oh, I lost track…
I floopin’ HATE spammers. But I do *heart* Akismet! Today I logged into my WordPress blogs, and it had caught over 100 spam comments. GOOD! I was getting SO sick of all of those e-mails of spammy comments.
Then, I went over to the Geeky Speaky boards, and some asshat spammed just about every forum there. It was some rather nasty pr0n spam, too. I’m glad that Colleen has taken on a few moderators over there, so it will get cleaned up in a timely manner. But today, whichever mod is the next to log in over there is gonna be VERY busy!
The Geeky Speaky boards are great, though. There’s a really nice group of bloggers over there, and we talk about the various pay-to-blog services we use. Other topics include blogging in general…how to use WordPress, Blogger, how to increase your page rank, that sort of thing. There’s also plenty of off-topic discussion, as well. If you are new to blogging, or to paid blogging, check this board out. Hell, even if you’ve been at it for a while, still check them out, if you haven’t already. You can help other bloggers, and maybe even learn something new along the way. We all want to help one another succeed, and everyone is generous about sharing useful info!

I just don’t get these pr0n spammers…do they really think that people are going to keep these links on their sites for any length of time? Yanno, I don’t care if people WANT to look at this stuff, but I figure that if they really want to see it, they know how to find it. The whole spam thing annoys me even more, since I started doing paid blogging. The way I see it now, if you want a link, and you’re not someone I know and like, and would link to for free, you’d best damn well pony up some cash. Or at least do a link exchange or something. I’m just sick of people who steal other people’s web space and bandwidth for their own greedy purposes.
But then again, no pay-to-blog service that I use would ever do business with pr0n sites…nobody I know would voluntarily put that crap on their blogs, not even for money. Maybe some would do it for a very LARGE amount of money, as in seven figures…but who’s gonna pony up that much? No one!
My asking price for one link to a pr0n site is $2 million. Not a penny less! I figure that this is enough for us to buy a decent house up in Maine, and then Mike could retire. That is the ONLY way I’d do it! So, until the day that I see $2 million deposited to my Paypal account, all of you spammers can just go and bugger off!
