It tasted really good in 2004, and it tastes good now.

I have stuck with this team for so long…since the days when they seriously sucked.  I remember years when they sucked so badly, they were almost paying people to come to the games.  Back when Mike was still a student at MIT, they had a deal where we could get into the ballpark for five bucks a pop, with a student ID.

Well, those days are long over.  My loyalty first paid off in 2004, and now they did it again.

I just wish people wouldn’t be such assholes.  I’m watching the news on TV, they have cops all over the place around Fenway Park (the Sox aren’t even there, they are in Colorado).  But crowds of people are there, getting drunk and disorderly, doing stupid shit.  A lot of people are getting arrested.  Can’t people be happy that their team won, without causing problems?  Sheesh.

I’m hearing cars driving by outside, honking their horns, yelling, “W000000T!”  Nothing wrong with that, as long as they’re not driving drunk and being assholes.

Me, I just sat here and went, “W000000T!” when it was over, when Jonathan Papelbon got the final strikeout.  I think I startled a few cats with that.
