Daily Update
Nothing much new to report here. Mike’s feet and legs are still swollen, the docs don’t think it’s going down fast enough, even with the Lasix being given via IV. They want to run some tests on Monday to try to find out why, and then try to figure out what else can be done here. Unlike The Quack, these people get it, they know that the pill Lasix at home is no longer working, and they want to fix it so that Mike doesn’t have t keep going back to the hospital.
A pacemaker may or may not be an option at this time; there are differing opinions among the cardiologists about this. But now we know that there are other meds to try, a whole world of other meds that The Quack never talked about.
But he is feeling a bit better, back to eating again, which is good. The Lasix IV at least must have gotten some of the fluid buildup out of his lungs, because he’s no longer coughing and hacking and gacking like a 90 year old man.
Well, there is not much more to say at the moment, it’s very late and I want to try to get up earlier than I did yesterday. So that will be it for the moment!
