GAY HATE GROUP TO PICKET LEDGER’S FUNERAL
Unless you are living under a rock, you know that actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment yesterday. But before his body was cold, this Fred Phelps nutjob has announced plans for his so-called *church* group to protest at his funeral. Why? Because he dared to portray a gay man in the movie “Brokeback Mountain”, a role for which Ledger was nominated for an Academy Award.
This is the same group who goes around picketing at funerals for soldiers who died in Iraq. What this has to do with gay people, I don’t know. I may be against the war, but I support those who choose to serve, and it’s always sad to hear of more deaths. these families are suffering enough…to go and picket at a family’s loved one’s funeral is just sick.
Here, a man has just died. He has a family, he has friends, he has fans. All of who are devastated by this tragedy. Yet these assholes are using it to further their own sick, anti-gay agenda. Ledger himself was not gay, he just played a gay guy in a movie. But that shouldn’t matter, whether he was gay or not. The fact is, people are grieving for him, and it is just sick for anyone to invade on their privacy.
I hope that Ledger’s family can get a restraining order or something, to keep these whackjobs as far away from the funeral as possible.
Fred Phelps and his followers sicken me to no end.

Yup — sicko whacos — they make this world interesting — I guess in an off beat kind of way. I know I could do without them in my face.
