Don't want no tall people 'round here…
I just washed all of the dishes that were piling up in the sink…I swear…how HARD would it be for Mike to wash a dish or silverware after using it? My lower back always hurts after a long dish-washing session.
Why? Because the sink here was clearly made for someone from Munchkin Land. I’m 5′ 10″, and it isa painful to have to hunch over things.
Just about EVERYTHING in this house is this way. The bathroom sink is like this. Several years ago, the landladies bought a new sink to replace the old one. It was even SMALLER than the old one, and before they called in Amateur Hour Plumber to come in and install it, I begged them to take it back, it was WAY too small for me. The new sink LOOKED very nice, but it was just too short. I would rather have the old one. They finally gave in, and the old one, although still too small, is still here.
They still have that sink, it’s downstairs. I suppose they will have it installed after we move out…but then, I won’t care. When we do move to our own house, I’m having everything adjusted for TALL people. Mike is the same height as I am, so he has no issue with this.
But I figure that people ASSume that only women do kitchen work such as washing dishes, and, of course, ALL women are petite little toothpicks, who also love shoe-shopping and would probably wear this crap to a ball game. The only tall women are supermodels, and they don’t cook or wash dishes like normal people do. Hell, I don’t think they even EAT!
I love being tall, but I wish I didn’t have to suffer pain just from washing the dishes! ![]()
