I was checking on Fandango to buy tickets for “Sicko” this weekend. I want to see it at the closest cineplex, the one in Revere. But dammit, they don’t do online ticketing at that theater.

As far as I can see, the closest theater where this movie is playing, and has online ticketing, is the Boston Common theatre. But I don’t want to go there, because it would involve taking the T. I don’t know how much it costs to park int the Boston Common garage, but it’s probalby too much…and why pay that when we can park for free in Revere, and avoid shitty Boston traffic? So I guess we’ll must have to suck it up and get there early, stand in line to buy tickets. It’s not worth dealing with the T, or paying for parking, just to get online ticketing.

Or, we might wait until the 4th of July, next Wednesday, and plan A Day At The Cineplex. The “Transformers” movie comes out next week, and I would like to see it. Drew, who is a HUGE Transformers fan, got to see a special screening of this…TWICE…last night. He posted his review on his entertainment blog…he gave this flick rave reviews. I remember watching the Transformers cartoon show way back in the 80’s. yeah, so I was in my 20’s and was watching cartoons…so bust me! I’m in my 40’s now and I still watch cartoons. And sometimes I actually read…gasp…COMIC BOOKS!

Drives me crazy when people ASSume that cartoons and comic books are just for kids. Why shouldn’t people of all ages enjoy this stuff?

Anyway, I am pretty sure that the Transformers movie will be playing at the Revere Cineplex…so we can just get there early, buy tickets for both movies, and chill out and enjoy both. I think Mike would really enjoy “Transformers”, as he likes this sort of sci-fi/action movie.

I’m not sure how much luck I will have getting him to see “Sicko” though. Even though I know that he can identify with the issue here, I don’t know that he’d want to pay money to see a Michael Moore movie. You see…I have a dirty little secret here…I am married to a conservative.
