Guess what today is…
…it’s CATURDAY!

This is Junior, another pic taken with the macro feature of my camera. Little Mitty is the cat in the background, and to the left, that’s part of Allegra.
Someday I’ll get a good pic of all six cats together. I’d also like to take some video of the cats…future Caturday pics might be YouTube videos rather than still pics.

We’re getting ready to go out today. Mike wants to go to The Dreaded Home Depot to buy a new window shade. Pumpkin has pretty much demolished the one in the bedroom, it needs to be replaced. The one that got destroyed, though was one of the super cheap ones that the landladies gave us. I think they bought them for $3.00 a pop at Grossman’s World of Junk; that seems to be one of their favorite stores. I’ve never been in there, but Mike has. He says the place is dirty and icky, and most of the stuph actually IS junk that he wold never want to buy. The ads in the paper for the place advertise all of these good deals, but when you get to the store, they never have them.
So I hope that Mike at least buys a better quality shade, one that is harder for cute little orange feline people to rip up. Since I hate going into Home Depot, I will entrust him to get it right.
In a couple of months, we’ll be putting an air conditioner in that window, anyway. It’s harder for cats to reach the shade when it’s pulled up past the a/c.
This time, I get to pick WHICH Home Depot we go to. He used to always insist on going to this one that’s not far from The Good Post Office, and there’s nothing else there, no other stores except a Crapplebee’s restaurant. So nothing for me to do but wait in the car forever.
But now that mail pickup days are now Tuesday and Friday, we don’t go out that way on Saturdays anymore. So now, we can go to the Home Depot at the big shopping center, where they also have a PetSmart, a Target, and a Michaels, as well as a ton of other stores. They opened an Ulta makeup store there not too long ago, and I want to check that out today. They carry Bare Escentuals, and I want to see if their selection is as good as that of Sephora. I’d be so happy if it is, that way, I might never have to set foot in the evil Burlington Maul ever again. I hate that damned place with a passion, and the only time I go in there anymore is to hit Sephora. But the Ulta store is not in an enclosed maul, it’s in a large strip mall, which I much prefer. It’s only a few doors away from the Michaels craft store, so I can hit both places while Mike goes to Home Depot. He can also take care of going into PetSmart to get cat food, we need some today. That’s on the same end of the strip as Home Depot, Michaels and Ulta are way the hell on the other end, far, far away.
Then we can go and eat at TGI Friday’s, which is a short walk across the parking lot from Michaels. He’ll just drop me off at the Michaels end, go and do his thing, and come back and meet me at the bar in Friday’s.
And then there’s the thrill of grocery shopping. I hope the store is not as awful as it was last week; there were annoying people and screaming kids everywhere, and I got really rattled and forgot to get half the stuph I had on my list, as I just wanted to get out of there. Maybe a few beers at Friday’s will help fortify me for hell on earth.
Well, now I am just waiting for Mike to get out of the shower already…I swear, he takes longer than I do. He needs to go across the street to the Old Geezer Barber Shop and get a haircut, before they close at noon. While he’s over there, I can get ready to go.
Happy Caturday! =^..^=
