Hello from Sturbridge
Free WiFi at Motel 6…akshully, nawt sew gud (that is LOLspeak, in case you didn’t know). As in, I can’t get a signal from inside our room, but out here on the deck, it works fine. So I’m sitting out here, with the laptop on a chair, and my ass in another chair, and a beer. Mike is inside the room watching the Phillies/Brewers ballgame.
Still, this motel is not all that bad, it’s actually nicer than I expected for a Motel 6. It’s clean, has no funny odors, it is safe and quiet, too. It has a fridge as advertised. The lady who checked us in didn’t speak English very well, she seemed to be of Indian or Pakistani descent, but it was really not a problem.
We had a little bit of an adventure on the way out here. Mike tried to run a yellow light at Wellington Circle, didn’t make it, and we got stopped by a state trooper. Luckily, the cop was nice and let him off with a warning. He HAS been trying to run the yellow lights too much lately, maybe this will make him not do it anymore.
So we hung out at Old Sturbridge Village all day today. We could not have asked for better weather.
I’d love to blog some more, but it is getting cold out here. I need to get back inside. Plus, I have to take a leak.
