I don’t know if this made national news or not…I’d think it would.  But anyway, this afternoon, some nutcase guy who supposedly has a bomb strapped to him walked into Senator Hillary Clinton’s campaign office in Rochester, NH.  He’s holding a couple of campaign workers hostage there.  Story here.

There had been a woman with a baby in the office, and the guy let them go almost right away.  The woman then ran into a nearby business and told them what was happening, and to call 911.  Downtown Rochester is all pretty much in lockdown now, on one is on the streets there except for various cops and SWAT teams.  The offices of Senators Barack Obama and John Edwards are on the same block, those have been evacuated.

The guy let another hostage go not long ago, a young woman.  The news people on TV are saying that there is at least one other hostage still in there.

Apparently, the guy wants to speak with Senator Clinton.  She’s not even in NH at the moment.  I doubt she’s going to speak to this guy in person, that would be too dangerous.  I know that she has Secret Service protection, they wouldn’t let this guy anywhere near her.  But she has been keeping in touch with the SWAT teams and all; she knows what’s going on.

I just hope they can get whoever’s still in there out soon, and that nobody gets hurt.
