How do they expect him to hold down a job?
I swear, these medical people are driving us the fuck NUTS! 
It’s bad enough that Mike needs to have doctor’s appointments for all of the problems that he already has. But now people keep calling up wanting him to take time off from work to do all of this other crap.
First there was this nurse from Cigna, our insurance company. What a royal pain in the ass SHE was! She called last week, while Mike was still at home. She kept him on the phone for over an hour, asking about all sorts of shit that his own doctors ALREADY KNOW ABOUT! She was actually QUESTIONING Dr. Y’s decision to allow him to return to work this week.
WTF??? We don’t know this nurse from Adam, she has never come to the hospital to see Mike. But Dr. Y is the one who actually performed the surgery, and Mike went back to see him last week after being released. The point is, the man has actually SEEN Mike, and if he saw any good reason why Mike should NOT be allowed to return to work, he would have said so at the time.
But this damned nurse was going on and on about how Mike should stay home longer. For what? He’s feeling fine, he’s been bored out of his skull sitting home, and there was NO medical reason why he can’t work. If his job involved heavy lifting, that is one thing, but it doesn’t. He sits at a desk all day and uses a computer.
What a pain in the ass she was! She was also going on about him making some other unnecessary appointments for shit. Mike was supposed to call her back this week, but he hasn’t bothered. He did call to make the necessary doctor’s appointments, which will already take him away from work enough as it is.
