I am a dork…

…because I ordered a couple of books from Amazon, and forgot to have them shipped to Mike’s office.  They won’t ship to a P.O. box because sometimes they use UPS, and I want to avoid the Evil Post Office.

Anyway, the package was shipped here, via USPS.  Yesterday.  I didn’t hear anyone knocking, it must have came while I was in the bathroom or something.  The carrier left one of those notes saying that I could either pick it up at the Evil Post Office, or go online to request re-delivery.

Well, it will be a cold day in hell when I set foot in the EPO again.  The people who work there are rude and obnoxious, and there’s always a long-assed line snaking out the door.  It doesn’t matter what time or day of the week you go there, it’s always crowded.  Damned if I want to waste half a day standing in that stupid line.

So I went for re-delivery, I asked then to deliver it here today.  It’s now almost three o’clock.  Is it here yet?  Nope.  Will it be here today?  Probably not.  Jerks.  I hate them.  This isn’t the first time I’ve requested re-delivery of a package, and not had it come on the date I specified.  One time they actually lost it somewhere in the bowels of the EPO, and I only got it weeks later when someone finally found it.

That post office needs to be closed down.  Is there ANYONE there who knows what the hell they are doing?  That postmaster needs to be fired, he is a nasty incompetent jerk.  Too bad it’s nearly impossible to fire people like that.

Yep, I should have taken that extra few clicks to have it sent to Mike at work.  Next time I won’t forget.
