I am so psyched…
…about this coming weekend!
Yesterday, we went to a Fisher Cats game. I am loving this ballpark more and more…I just did a post on my baseball blog about how great it is.
As I posted awhile back, we made plans to stay in Manchester overnight, since we not only have tickets to TWO games (vs. the Portland Sea Dogs), but there is also the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo at the Radisson that weekend. I would like to hit this show on Saturday, before the ball game. The Saturday ball game starts at 7PM, and if this show is as small as it’s been in the past, I can probably get through it in an hour or so. Mike can hang out at the bar in the Radisson and drink beer, until it is time to check into the hotel.
What I am REALLY psyched about today is the hotel. I had so badly wanted to be able to stay either at the Radisson or the Hilton Garden Inn, both in downtown Manchester, and an easy walk to both the ballpark and the scrapbook convention. The Hilton is right next to the ballpark, as you can see here…

This picture was taken yesterday at the Fisher Cats’ ballpark. See that building in the background? That’s the Hilton Garden Inn. It would have been so nice to just be able to check in, park the car, and WALK to the ballpark, and then just walk back to the room when the game was over. No worrying about driving home late at night, no worrying about how much beer we can drink at the game.
But when I tried to book a room at this hotel, as well as the Radisson, I was told that BOTH were fully booked for the dates we wanted to come. Bummer. So I booked a roon at the next closest decent place, the Comfort Inn Airport. Not walking distance, though, in fact, there is NO way to walk there, even if we wanted to. It’s on the other side of I-293 from the ballpark.
