i can has kamra fone?
Well, in the world according to TracFone, I can’t has, unless I want to give them more money. But…

No, this is NOT from TracFone! I am done with those evil rat bastards forever. At least, I will be when I get my damned money back for the phone that I can’t has.
We went to that fancy French department store, Tar-jhay, to see what the selection of Virgin Mobile phones is like. Since I’d rather avoid dealing with Federal Distress shipping, I figured it couldn’t hurt to see what I could get at a store.
We went out today for our usual mail collecting at the Good Post Office, etc. Mike wanted to drive up to New Hamster to buy a couple of Powerball tickets. I knew where there’s a Target up in Salem, so I suggested that we go there after we buy the lottery tickets. I figured that by buying the phone there, if they had the one I wanted, I’d save a few bucks. New Hamster does not have a state sales tax.
This particular Target is bigger than the ones close to us, it seemed like we had to walk a mile to get to the electronics department. But they actually had a decent selection of Virgin Mobile phones and accessories, including the two I had been considering…the Cyclops and the Super Slice. They actually had some display models out that people could look at and touch (but not steal, they were bolted down). I liked that, and ended up going with the Cyclops.
They also had the car charger that fits the Cyclops, for cheaper than it was on the website. So I bought that, too. Since we take a lot of little road trips, this is a must-have.
So now, it’a all activated and charged up; now I’ll play with it a bit to see all that it does. I opted not to port my old number after all…easier to just have a new one. But porting IS possible, you have to call them, which I did, and yes, they DO speak English properly. I just decided that I wanted a new number, one that people who has annoyed me in the past don’t have. I actually did try to get my number changed when I was with TracFone, but it never went through. So now I not only have a new number, but the camera phone that I wanted, that started all of this in the first place. I’m happy!
As for my TracFone minutes, I found a way to transfer them to Mike’s TracFone, so we won’t lose them just yet. He has the yearly service thing, and it’s good until the end of June 2008. We figured we’d might as well keep it until then. He now has more than enough minutes, so we won’t have to give the TracFone bastards another penny, ever. He doesn’t want a camera phone or anything fancy, he just wants a basic phone, which is what he has. So he shouldn’t have the problems I’ve had, we won’t be doing anything with that phone again now. But he hates TracFone, too, because of the way they screwed me over, and when his service period is up, he will be switching to Virgin Mobile as well. For now, though, we’ll get the most out of what we’ve already paid for.
What I had to do was log into Mike’s account, remove his phone from it, and then put it on my account. Once that was done, I was able to transfer all of my minutes to Mike’s phone…I just told them that it was a new phone of mine, not that it was someone else’s. It was annoying…the TracFone rep once again didn’t speak English very well, but this time, I was asking for something easier, that they understand how to do. But now, Mike has all of my TracFone minutes, and we have eight months to use them all up. We feel less screwed over this, since the minutes I paid for are not lost forever now…but I still want my damned money back for the camera phone that I never got from them. And damned straight I’m gonna get it!
I’m just happy that FINALLY, I got what I wanted…a camera phone! And this one is probably better than the TracFone one, anyway!

Cute phone!!! I’m glad you got the phone you were wanting and that it is not a tracfone!
“Federal Distress”… LOL!! I will have to remember that one. I can’t stand them either. Although we have been having more problems with UPS here lately. They don’t seem to know what “FRONT DOOR” means. Idiots.

Yay! I’m so happy you’re happy with your new phone! I knew you’d love this company just like I do.
For the simple fact the employees speak English makes them the coolest…LOL
