Georgia Judge: Keep Potter books in school

This stupid woman, Laura Mallory, actually went to court to demand that Harry Potter books be kept out of the local schools’ libraries. You see, they promote witchcraft as a religion, and we can’t have that now, can we?

At Tuesday’s hearing, Mallory argued in part that witchcraft is a religion practiced by some people and, therefore, the books should be banned because reading them in school violates the constitutional separation of church and state.

And then she went on to say, and I quote:

I have a dream that God will be welcomed back in our schools again. I think we need him.

So, which is it? An issue of separation or church and state, or cramming your own religious ideals down everyone else’s throats?

Obviously, Laura Mallory has NEVER read a single HP book, nor has seen any of the movies. There is NOTHING at all religious about them. From what little I know about Wicca, they are NOT based on that religion at all. There is nothing anti-Christian about them, either. Rather, they are nothing more than stories from J.K. Rowling’s very vivid imagination. I mean, does this bimbo REALLY believe that people who practice Wicca fly around on brooms, and even have flying cars? Does she honestly think that there exist train platforms that are only visible to the non-Muggles? I know some people who do practice Wicca, and none of them have a Nimbus 2000, or any other flying broom. Sheesh!

Probably not, because she HAS NOT READ THE BOOKS. That is obvious to me, and to anyone else who has read them, or seen the movies.

Yanno, I don’t care if Laura Mallory wants to forbid her own kids to read the books. That is her choice as a parent to do so. But she has NO RIGHT to try to stop other kids from reading them. Thankfully, the judge agreed, and the books stay.

The stupid bitch might now take it to federal court. Way to go, let’s waste more taxpayers’ money on this nonsense. I hope it gets thrown out.

BTW, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, the seventh and final book of the series is coming very soon…July 22. Which happens to be my seventh wedding anniversary. Will the connections to the number 7 end? I wish I had thought of this when I submitted my entry to the Seven Brides For Seven Brothers contest!

Also, “Order of the Phoenix” is due to be released on July 13. I don’t like to go to the movie theaters much anymore, but I’ll look for the DVD whenever it comes out!
