I HATE the Evil Post Office, part#475,398
Did I get my package re-delivered yesterday? Hell, NO! Jeebus, what part of “Thursday, May 28″ did they not understand?
Of course, since I’m not going to be home this afternoon, the asshats will probably try to deliver it then. If I wanted it delivered today, I would have put today’s date on the online form.
I suppose I’ll just have to put in another request, and see if I can get it delivered tomorrow or Monday. Then, of course, they will translate that to mean “some other day when Christine won’t be home”, make the third and finally attempt, and then send it back to Amazon.
Jerks. I hate them.

As I mentioned a coupla days ago, I’m going to go and see the Sex & The City movie today. If I hadn’t already bought and printed out an advance ticket from Fandango, I’d probably skip it and go some other day, just so I can waste another day waiting for the stupid package. But I’ve already plunked down my $8.50, so what can I do?
Not much, except try to enjoy the show, and not steam over the idiocy of the EPO.

Irritating! My post office is usually OK with this sort of thing, but FED-EX? They are my version of EPO. They delivered something and left the note on the door. I signed the note allowing them to leave the package. They neither left the package, nor took the note. I emailed them, as when I called them I was on hold for way too long, and never heard back. They were holding the package but I couldn’t get down there before the sent it back to the shipper. I emailed the store and they shipped it to my work address at no extra charge, which was nice. I hate getting a lot of stuff delivered at work because it’s really not something I should do and I still have to take it home on the train from Philly, but at least I got it. I like that store, but I wish they had shipping options other than Fed Ex.
