I think I'm getting TWO of them now!
Remember how I said that I didn’t get my eye shadow kit in with my Bare Escentuals Starter Kit? I had e-mailed them about this at an address that I thought was a *no reply* one, as I didn’t hear back. So then I went to the site, found the right addy, e-mailed them back, and got a response almost immediately. They apologized, as this was supposed to be sent with the kit and not separately, and said they’d send it out to me right away.
Cool, I’m happy now. But then I heard back from ANOTHER person at BE, responding to the OTHER e-mail, and she said she was sending me out another kit, too. Before I could do anything, I got TWO e-mails saying that they’d shipped the item, with two separate order numbers.
So what will I do? Well, I’ll just wait for them to get here, and just open one of them. I will try it out, and if I really love it (as I think I will), I will then notify the company about the mistake, and offer to pay for the second kit. If, on the off chance I DON’T like it, I’ll just keep the one kit that I already paid for, and return the second one.
In other news, Mike thinks he wants to go to that choo-choo train show at the Shriners’ Auditorium in Wilmington. Tomorrow is mail pickup day at the Good Post Office, so we’ll do that as usual, I think. And we’ll have lunch someplace afterwards, after which he will want to hit the train show for a couple of hours.
I do NOT want to go to this particular train show at all. This is the really crappy one, that has free-range rugrats running around wild, mowing people down, manhandlng the goods, and all. I don’t know why Mike wants to go, as he bitched about how much it sucked the last time he went. But he needs his choo-choo fix, and if he wants to go, I’m not going to stop him. I do go to other train shows with him, but these are all in hotels that have a bar someplace…if I get bored, I can always go and have a beer. I’m sure Mike will be doing the same thing when I drag him to the scrapbook shows in June…he might walk around with me for a bit, then get bored and hit the bar. Then I’ll look for him there, and we’ll get something to eat.
So what I have in mind for tomorrow is to have our lunch at one of the restaurants in the Burlington Mall, which we drive past on the way to the Good Post Office. The places there that we like are Legal Sea Foods and Pizzeria Uno. I like Legal a bit better, because it’s in a quieter part of the mall, and the place is a bit more adult-oriented. I like Uno, but the last time we ate at the Burlington Mall location, they had some sort of “American Idol” singing competition for kids set up out in the mall outside the restaurant. It was VERY loud and annoying. Most of the kids who sang couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket…it was painful to listen to. And the high-pitched voices…OOOOUUUUUCH!
At least with real “American Idol” on TV, if someone’s singing pains me, I can turn it off. And it often does. Speaking of which, they really need to get that Sanjaya guy outta there. I hope it happens next week, as that guy can’t sing to save his life. But anyway, at the mall, in a restaurant, you CAN’T turn it off. You have to just walk away.
So I’ll tell Mike I want to eat at Legal Sea Foods, he’ll go for that.
