It is COLD! (and I HATE liars!)

But of course it is…it’s December in New England, after all.  Still, that is why so many people who live here are considering booking vacations to places like the riviera maya resorts in Mexico!

I am still seriously pissed about basically being LIED TO by our landladies.  Ever since April, they’ve been going on and on about switching the house from oil to gas heat.  “Very soon”, they kept saying, but “we don’t know when”.  “Sometime during the summer”, they said.  We were also told that the new furnaces were “already paid for”.

Well, summer came and went, and in October, they told us that the gas company people would be here “very soon” to put in the new gas furnaces.  It would take three days, or so they said.

We were down to about 1/4 tank of oil, and of course, were hesitant to get it filled, not if they were gonna switch us to gas.  Once it’s in the tank, it’s not like it can be taken out.  It costs somewhere around $500 to fill the tank, that is WAY too much money to piss away.

So it started getting colder, we were still left hanging over the gas thing…until one day, we saw an oil truck outside, filling the landladies’ tank.  We were sitting in our place, being cold because we had to conserve what oil we had, or at least we thought we did.

Mike was seriously pissed, and he confronted them.  Turned out that we’re NOT getting switched to gas, at least not any time son…because they “were turned down for the loan”.

WTF happened to “it’s already paid for”?  If they had to apply for a loan, and got turned down, NOTHING is paid for.  Why lie to us, why let us sit and be cold because they promised the switchover “very soon”?

I HATE liars.  I want to win the damned Powerball or MegaMillions, so we can move far away from this cesspool.  To buy our own house, so we can know for sure what wil be done, and when.

I did finally call the oil man and have the tank filled this week.  To the tune of about $450.  I swear, if they suddenly get approved for that loan next week, and they have the gas furnaces put in, they’d better fork over that $450 to us, or at least let us take it out of the rent.

It’s also too cold to be without heat for three days.  But then again, these people also let the National Grid douchebags come in and change out the meters…which involved shutting off our power…and they couldn’t be arsed to tell us first.  The power went off while I was on the computer, and Mike was in the shower.

HATE.  HATE.  HATE.  Get me the hell outta here!
