It never ends

That damned box.  I am sick of it.  Srsly.  It ended up going to where it was supposed to, I really thought that would be the end of it.

Nope!  When UPS re-boxed it, apparently, they just dumped the contents of the original box into the new one, and some merchandise was damaged.  So I had to hear about THAT, as if it were MY fault.

I didn’t open the damned box.  It was in my house for maybe five hours tops, during which time it was NOT knocked over or otherwise messed with.  All I did was slap a new label on it and hand it back to the UPS driver when she came back.

But of course, it is MY fault for not being at home on Tuesday when the thing was first delivered.  Yes, chances are that it was damaged AFTER it went back into the truck after I wasn’t home to receive it.  I resent the insinuation that I SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT HOME to receive this box, something that only came to me because someone else made a mistake.  As I said before, normally, UPS doesn’t come here as late as 7:30 PM.  I had to go out and vote.  Sorry, but maintaining my bitching rights is more important than fixing some dumb mistake.  Sheesh, you’d think I was keeping a pregnant woman from her prenatal vitamins.

Sometimes I wonder if I’d be better off just by becoming an asshole. It seems to work for everyone else in the world.  Maybe from now on, I should park in handicapped spaces and fire zones in front of stores, so I won’t have to walk so far.  Maybe I should drape my carcass across the meat counter at Stop & Shop, and yap on my cell phone, ignoring people who are actually trying to buy meat.  Maybe I’ll start visiting New York Y***** fan blogs and leave obnoxious comments about their team.  Why not, everybody else seems to do it, and get away with it.

Why should I be nice to anyone, when I seldom get it back in return?

You should have kept the stuff. I’m not a lawyer, but it’s my understanding that if a company sends you something you didn’t order, you can keep it without being billed for it since it was their mistake!! That may vary from state to state but next time look into the laws of your state and if you can, just keep the stuff!

Regardless, I certainly wouldn’t have gone out of my way to mail them back stuff they should never have sent me in the first place. They’d have gotten it when I felt good and ready to send it back, unless they wanted to come pick it up personally! And if now they are harassing you over their mistake, you should most certainly file a complaint against them with the BBB and badmouth them all over the internet since they are so incompetent and harassing!

Remind me never to do business with that shady company!
