It’s Saturday…
..and we don’t have to go anywhere. We got some serious snow here, and right now, Mike is outside shoveling the car out.
Did I mention that I got my new toy yesterday? I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet, it’s still in the packaging. I really hate that annoying blister packaging, it’s so difficult to open. I’m going to have to look around here for a box cutter to get the thing open.
Once I do get it open, I can play with it a bit. Then I’ll write a review of it, which will be posted where most of my reviews for crafty stuph go…c-m dot net. I’ll tell you whether or not to buy this thing. If it’s as good as the smaller Crop-A-Dile, I know I’m gonna love this bigger one!

I finally got around to watching The Simpsons Movie. I had gotten it as a Director’s Selection from the Columbia House DVD Club. I know I could have just rented it, but I’m slowly collecting the entire series on DVD, and so I want to own the movie, too.
I loved the movie. I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t see Spider Pig/Harry Plopper again once the Simpsons returned to Springfield. We did see Santa’s Little Helper, though. But Spider Pig was in a deleted scene that was to be near the end of the movie. He was seen painting a doghouse with Santa’s Little Helper and that multi-eyed creature. This was during the scene when the people of Springfield were helping to rebuild the Simpsons’ home. I don’t know why they cut that scene out. But it was still a good movie.

The PBS cooking shows are about to start up. I caught the tail end of The Victory Garden. I liked that show a long time ago, but stopped watching it because the new yuppie host annoyed me. The guy was never seen getting his hands dirty, what kind of a gardening show host is that? But now they have this new host, some cute British guy, who’s a professional horticulturalist. And he does get his hands dirty.
I guess they’d tried to change the show, to *yuppify* it, but it didn’t work. Now it’s more like the way it was when I liked it, and that’s good. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
