New blog competition: one for me, one for you!

I have decided to start a sorta-monthly contest here at Ye Olde Blogge. I’m always talking about cool stuph that I buy for myself, and now maybe YOU can win something that I buy for myself!

Here is the way it will work: I will write a blog post that lists three items that I would like to buy for myself. No, not expensive things like iPods and such…these will be smaller items, like books, DVDs, and the like. I will provide links to the websites where I would buy these items, and write a description of my own.

To enter, you will need to write a blog post about whichever item you like the best and would like to win, why you want to win it, and all that happy fun stuph. You will need to place a link to the entry post (not this one, but the one that will list the items) in your post. And when you are done, you need to come back here and leave a comment with your link. You will have about a week to submit your post, and yes, I will leave comments open on the post for that long (I normally set them to close after five days, to cut back on spammage).

After the week is up, all entries will be listed and linked to on another blog post here, and will go up for voting…people can vote for the post that they like the best. Yes, you could vote for yourself! Voting will be open for one week. Whoever gets the most votes will win the item that they wrote about, and that’ll be something I will buy for myself, too!

To participate, you will need a blog (duh!) and be willing to provide me with a mailing address should you win, as you have to get your prize somehow! Winner will be announced here, and contacted via e-mail, and only then would an address need to be provided. I promise that I will NEVER sell, give away, fold, spindle, mutilate, or otherwise abuse your personal info! I also promise not to come to your house and stalk you (unless you really, really want me to…LOL!)
