No more squeakage…

I can’t floopin’ believe this. Lucky’s been dead for just over two weeks now, and tonight, Squeaker went. Just like that. Except this time, Mike saw it happen. It happened so damned quickly, there was nothing that we could have done about it.

First, Squeaker gacked a lot, then he looked like he was having a fit. Then, nothing. He was dead. The whole thing took just a couple of minutes. downer

Since he and Lucky are half-siblings, we think it was the same congenital heart condition that it turned out Lucky had. These things can come on all of a sudden, or so I’m told.

Squeaker was famous…sort of. A card and scrapbook page about him was featured in the November 2006 issue of “Scrap & Stamp Arts” magazine. You can see the whole thing HERE.

Just earlier today, he was squeaking at me, and I was petting him, and telling him what a sweet little voice he had. And now he shall squeak no more. downer
