Not a bad today, at all…
…especially when one has enough Sudafed and NyQuil to survive!
Yesterday, I was just about running out of both, but Mike brought me more. And yes, he got me the RIGHT kind of Sudafed, the kind that people use to make crystal meth. MY, the rules have changed since I last bought Susdafed about a year ago!
When last I bought it, I just asked for it at the counter, and they sold it to me. But now, when Mike bought it, they not only asked him for his I.D., but they made him sign some piece of paper where he promised not to use the stuff to open a meth lab.
Sheesh! All I want here is to not have a runny nose all the time! And it happens that the original formula of Sudafed is the ONLY thing that works for me.
I’m glad that Mike went through the trouble to get me what I asked for, though, even though it was a bit of a pain. At least they don’t have any such restrictions for buying NyQuil. That stuph soothes my sore throat and helps me sleep.
In any case, I am feeling much better, so I will be going on the trip this weekend. I don’t know yet if I will be going to the train show myself, or just staying in the hotel room, drinking beer, eating junk food, and watching the Food Network…but we’ll play that by ear.
I could walk over to the Sturbridge Scrapping Corner from the hotel, if I want to. There’s nothing going on over there, no classes or anything. Even if they had a crop going on…well, it’s kinda hard to crop when you don’t have any photos. And guess where my photos are? If you guessed…on my computer with the dead power supply…well, you get a cookie!
But I guess I could walk over there, see what they have, hang out, talk scrapping, and buy stuph. It sounds way more appealing than tagging along behind Mike at a boring train show. He can go to the thing by himself, and then he can come back to the hotel and we can go out to dinner.
It costs ten bucks a pop just to get into that show…ten bucks that I could spend better at the scrapbook store, or on beer, or…
You get the idea. To me, train shows are as boring as hell. But I still want Mike to be able to go and enjoy it. He says he’s be happy to go without me, but he still wants me to come and stay at the hotel with him. I can do that, I need a break from this place anyway.
I think we have reached a compromise here!
