…I hope!

Now the doctor is saying that Mike will probably be able to come home sometime tomorrow. They finally put him back on solid food today, and if he doesn’t gack it all up, as he did earlier in the week, all systems are a-GO!

Dr. Yehida, who is the one in charge (he performed the surgery) usually works at night. That man NEVER seems to take a day/night off! I thought he was taking yesterday off, but Mike said that he came in about an hour after I left for the evening. That was when he ordered the solid food, and said that Sunday would be the Day Of Springage. So I’m guessing he’ll be back around tonight, and if there is no gackage, he’ll put in the order for the release then.

I guess we really need to fill out all of that paperwork for the short term disability that the HR lady at Mike’s work overnighted to me. At first he wasn’t feeling well enough to do it…but now he can, so we really should do that before he is sprung…there is a “Back To Work” paper that Dr. Yehida needs to fill out and return to Mike…that can be done later, though, when Mike goes to see him at his office. And there’s some other stuff that needs to be mailed/faxed to Mike’s work.

But what he really needed right away, in order for the short-term diasbility pay to kick in, was a note from the doctor with the date of admission to the hospital. Dr. Yehida said that he’d have someone in his office fax that over, and I assume this has been done. No one has called me to ask where it was…I think Linda (the HR lady) would have, if there was a problem. Maybe I should call her on Monday to make sure she got it. Rent will be due soon, and Mike really needs to be paid this week!
