…next time I buy tickets to anything.
No, it’s all okay…but it was sheer luck that I opted for May 14th, rather than the 13th, for the Garrison Keillor/Boston Pops show. Turns out that Mike has a doctors appointment, with Dr. Quackenstein, late afternoon on 5/13. So it would have been a pain to try to get to the show that evening, who know how long Dr. Q would have kept him waiting in that hellhole?
But we’re going to the show on the 14th, and that means that Mike will have to leave work early TWO days in a row. But hey, if we want to see GK badly enough, that’s the way it is.
We’ve decided that we will meet at around 6PM at Jasper White’s Summer Shack, the location near the Pru. That’s just a couple of subway stops away from the Symphony Hall stop. I was racking my brain trying to think of something in the area that is affordable…the list of places on the BSO website consists mostly of very expensive eateries that we don’t want to spend the money on. It was Mike who suggested the Summer Shack, and it’s a great idea. We know the place, we’ve been there before, we like it, and it’s within our budget.
I haven’t been to the Summer Shack in ages…I’m looking forward to it!
