Something for the WTF? files…
I saw a teaser for tonight’s FOX-25 News at 10. Their investigative reporter has learned that sex offenders are being taken on field trips to places like the circus. These are men who’ve been convicted of molesting children, and they are being taken to places where there are a lot of families with children. What government numbskull decided that this was a good idea?
Also, why are they being taken on field trips in the first place? No doubt this is coming at taxpayer expense. Hell, if I want to go to the circus, I have to buy my own tickets. And the last time I checked, circus tickets ain’t exactly cheap these days.
These guys are CRIMINALS, why should they get such free perks? They are supposed to be being punished, not treated to special outings. And they certainly shouldn’t be allowed near children.
I’m sure I’ll have a lot more ranting to do about this after the piece airs, and I see it.

And if I’m not already pissed off enough after this, over on WBZ-4 at 11PM, they are having a piece on their news show about the side effects of Lipitor, that doctors don’t tell people about when they prescribe it. Hmm, I wonder if any of those side effects include those seriously bad, *stop the pain or kill me now* stomach cramps that Mike was having when he was taking it.
As I’ve mentioned here before, doctors are bein paid a nice chunk of change by the drug company, Pfizer, to prescribe it. So it’s in the doctors’ best interest to lie by omission.
No doubt there’ll be more rantage here about that story, too.
