Still no refund…
…from TracFone. What a bunch of liars and thieves they are. They have my money, I have no phone.
I didn’t write my letter to them yet, because yesterday I was too busy with those other liars and thieves. I am going to write my letter today, but not mail it until I see what happens with today’s mail. Mike is going to the Good Post Office today to collect mail from our P.O. box (and mail out the stuff I prepared yesterday). It MIGHT be possible that they re-shipped the phone via USPS, to the P.O. box address, as I asked them to do in the first place. No, I didn’t get any further emails about any phone being shipped. But since they seem to haver a rather half-assed operation going, they may not have bothered.
I still don’t think they ever even TRIED to re-ship the phone. A decent company would have tried to contact me when they got the package back; they would have realized their mistake. They would have offered to re-ship it to me at their expense, via the carrier of MY choice. Other companies I have done business with it have done this for me when there were problems…guess TracFone doesn’t care much about keeping its customers.
They’re NOT the only game in town for pre-paid phones. It might seem like they are a good alternative to Verizon and other big-box cell phone carriers’ pre-paid plans…the phones are cheaper and you can upgrade without being tied to a contract (or be forced to pay $300 for said upgrade if you DON’T want a contract). That’s what drew me to them.
But there’s also Virgin Mobile, another company that does pre-pay. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them…Kat has been with them for years, and loves them. When my current service period with TracFone is up in February, I’m switching to them. Meanwhile, I’m going to try and use up as many of my accumulated TracFone minutes as possible. There is NO possibility at this point that I will reconsider and stay with TracFone. Not after all of this bullshit.
I notice that TracFone is in Florida, too. If they don’t give me back my money, perhaps their Attorney General Bill McCollum will be hearing from me again!
