Stupid commercial
Ever see this commercial for something called “Boniva”, which I guess is for osteoperosis? There are actually a couple of them, both starring Sally Field.
The one that annoys me is one where she is talking about how her friend has to *set aside time* to take her osteo pill…ONCE A WEEK! But if only she’d ask her doctor about Boniva, she’d only have to pop a pill ONCE A MONTH!
WTF??? It’s TIME-CONSUMING to have to take ONE lousy pill ONCE A FLOOPIN’ WEEK? What planet do these people live on, anyway? Mike has to *set aside time* twice a day, to take a whole bunch of pills. I’d say that it takes him about five minutes in the morning, and another five minutes in the evening, to get them all down. Ten minutes out of one’s life each day does not seem like a major inconvenience to me.
And I know people who have to take pills even more often than Mike does…as in several times a day!
Sorry, Gidget, but I can’t feel sorry for you or your “girlfriend” who needs to set aside all of that time to take one lousy weekly pill. Who is the rocket scientist who thought that this ad was a good idea in the first place? To me, all it does is offend people who are on a lot of meds!
I have been meaning to rant about this stupid ad for a while now, and I finally managed to *set aside time* to do it today.
