The Dancing Pumpkin
Yeah, we have our own dancing Pumpkin…a certain cute little orange stripecat who dances on us when we’re trying to sleep. You see, when we’re asleep, we can’t pet him, and to him, that is NOT a good thing!
But that’s not what this post is about. Lisa, over at My Thoughts, Ideas and Ramblings, is giving away three copies of a DVD called The Dancing Pumpkin. You can read all about it on her contest post.
Now, you might think that I am too old to be watching things like this. But the truth is, if you enjoy something, you’re really never too old. I love a lot of what most people would consider *kiddie entertainment*. I have a huge DVD collection of Disney and other cartoons. I have a box set of “Peanuts” holiday DVDs and I watch them every year. Almost “Great Pumpkin” time! I also have Christmas cartoons like the Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph on DVD. I have been watching these cartoons on TV every year since I was a kid, and I still watch them now.
But you know what? Lisa really had me at “bonus cartoons with Casper”. I have always LOVED Casper! When I was really little, I used to call him “Teasbo”…where that came from, I have no idea.
When I was around five years old, I got in trouble for making my baby dolls look like Casper. What I did was took off their clothes, smeared them with Vaseline, and then covering them with baby powder. I actually remember doing this.
I haven’t seen a Casper cartoon in decades. If I win this DVD, I promise not to put Vaseline and baby powder on my cats to make them look like Casper!
