The FedEx Haters’ Club is growing…

I have ranted here many, many times about my hatred for Federal Distress. They are forever mis-delivering packages, losing them completely sometimes, and leaving stuff on the porch without being bothered to knock on the door. After the last bad experience, when I ordered a cell phone for Mike from Virgin Mobile, I will NEVER knowingly order from any company that uses only FedEx as a shipping company.

You might remember that in the case of Virgin Mobile, they delivered to the package of an address that did not exist, and even made a phony signature to show me. Wasn’t my siggie…they never even bother to knock, never mind ask for my John Hancock. Stupid driver was just plain lazy, as they all seem to be these days.

Virgin Mobile did refund my money shortly after I called and explained to them what happened, and I guess they filed a claim with FedEx to get the money back. I ended up buying a phone for Mike at a store, and made sure that they had a car charger for it that I could buy at the same time…didn’t want to have to even THINK about ordering from the website, not as long as they’ll only use FedEx.

But now, Holly is having a HUGE problem with these guys. FedEx is a JOKE! she says, and oh, how true that is. She was supposed to have a couple of very large packages, containing expensive merchandise, delivered to her home today. Never came. Neither her nor her husband will be home to accept delivery tomorrow, and she was told that if no one was home, they’d just leave the packages outside the house. Too bad that there will be a major rainstorm tomorrow, and there’s no place to put the packages to protect them from the weather. She really needs to have them delivered when she or her hubby are home to accept them.  That should have been TODAY, as was originally promised in the first place.

I hope she can get somewhere with them, but given my own multiple experiences with this joke of a company, I can’t hold out much hope.

WHY is this company still in business? I hate FedEx!

Thanks Christine! I winced when I heard my packages were going to be delivered via FedEx, but since I won them I didn’t think I could/should ask for them to be delivered via another company. I think what bothers me the most is the fact that we had planned on ordering another bed like the one I won from the company I won them from. If I can’t convince them to ship with someone other than FedEx, I’m afraid I’ll have to go elsewhere. I hope I can convince them otherwise!

You’re quite welcome, Holly! I’m sorry you are dealing with this crap. Hope it gets straightened out to your satisfaction.

And no, it can’t hurt to call the company to ask for a different shipping method. If they want you as a customer, especially for such a big ticket item, they should comply.

    Good luck!
