As you know, we were in Manchester, NH this weekend, for a couple of Fisher Cats games. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is right next to the ballpark.

This morning, we were getting ready to check out, and go to the ball game, when Mike said, “Look, John Edwards‘ bus is outside.” So I went over to the window and looked, and sure enough, there it was! It looked like they were loading stuff into the luggage compartment. I took this pic from the window of our room.

We didn’t get a glimpse of the Edwardses themselves, but I learned later that John and Elizabeth had gone out to St. Anselm College to meet with Bob Schieffer to do live interviews for “Face The Nation” on CBS today. So they wouldn’t have been there at the time that we saw the bus out there. However, I’m guessing that they did stay at this hotel, because really, where else is there to stay in Manchester that is halfway decent? The Hilton Garden Inn and the Radisson are pretty much it for the nicer places in town. Where else would they stay? The Econo-Lodge? I don’t think so! I’ve heard bad things about the Manchester Econo-Lodge, even a regular person like me would not stay there.

Anyway, it was kind of cool to see the bus there, and even cooler to think we may have spent the night under the same roof as a Presidential candidate!
