dangerous advertising

Posted Sun July 29, 2007 12:05 pmYour Jet Dry commercial has convinced my children that Jet Dry would make and excellent beverage. I have had to throw out the Jet Dry that I already owned, because my kids want to drink it.
I would like a refund on my bottle of Jet Dry. Also, rethink who your target audience is when advertising. Do you really think a retarded animated dishwasher drinking your product is an effective way to sell it?
This person is stupid in so many ways. Let’s start with her use of the word “retarded”, shall we? This makes her sound like an ingnorant, immature teenager, and perhaps she is. Maybe she got knocked up at age 13, and is maybe 17 now. Maybe she dropped out of school due to getting pregnant, and never learned much of anything.
Mental retardation is a serious, bona-fide mental illness. The people who are born with this can’t help it. There is a HUGE difference between someone who is born with Down’s Syndrome, or other problems that cause mental retardation, than someone who is just plain stupid. Like this ‘Danielle” bimbo, for instance.
And then let’s address the fact that she claims that the commercials make her kids want to drink Jet-Dry. GIVE ME A BREAK ALREADY! Yeah, maybe the kids DO want to drink it. But there do exist such things as child-proof cabinet locks, which all parents of young children need to buy and use. The fact is that little kids will pock around, and put things into their mouths that they shouldn’t. If they are too young to understand this, the best things to do are to just lock the cleaning stuph up, AND watch the kids at all times.
