Wednesday Wstuph

I still can’t believe that my poor little Squeaker is gone! But at least now he is at the Rainbow Bridge with his sister Lucky, and his father, Mister Bill, who left us about five years ago. I hope they are all having fun together.

Mister Bill used to love to teach his kittens all of the ways of bad behavior. How proud he would look, as he watched them doing something naughty…as in when Junior climbed up the curtains and ended up pulling the whole curtain rod down. I imagine that now the three of them are up there in kitty heaven, wreaking all kinds of havoc together. Just like they did when they were all here!

This morning, Mike took a couple of hours off from work so that we could go and make Squeaker’s final arrangements. He will be cremated and his ashes will be placed in an urn, just like the one I picked out for Lucky about two weeks ago. I’m just glad that Mike was there with me this time. I had to deal with this alone when Lucky passed. This time, Mike drove to the MSPCA place. This was good, because I didn’t sleep very well and was not fit to drive anywhere.

To help distract myself from all of this, I decided to try, once and for all, to make it so that the trailing backslash is NOT necessary to access this blog. This has been driving me nuts for a long time, and I realized I had to do something about it when I tried to claim my blog on Technorati.
