WTF is the matter with people, part #4,875,734?
Girl wins concert tickets with essay faking dad’s death in Iraq
Quoth the mother of this girl:
“We did the essay and that’s what we did to win,” Priscilla Ceballos, the mother, said in an interview with Dallas TV station KDFW. “We did whatever we could do to win.”
What a SKEEVE! And what an insult to the families of those who really DID die in Iraq! Damned straight they should take away the prize, being that the so-called winner LIED to get it.
What a wonderful example to set for your kid, encouraging her to lie to people to get what she wants. Disgusting.

Congratulations! You tought your 6 year old daughter that lying is OK, as long as it gets you what you want. Apparently a soldier dying for his/her country in the name of freedom is not good enough, but for Hanna Montana tickets, now there’s a cause worth dying and lying for.
This is a no brainer, the family should give up the tickets. I would also suggest that “Mom of the Year” take her daughter to a VA hospital so she can get to see first hand the impact a lie like this has on the brave men and women who defend this country.

I feel so bad for that little girl having to grow up with a mother like that. That poor kid is going to be completely screwed up. I’d love to smack the crap out of that woman!
And yes… it is a complete insult and a slap in the face of all of those that are in Iraq and those families that have lost someone over there.
Just makes me sick.

You have got to be BSing me! THAT was the ‘best thing’ that mooron of a ‘mother’ could come up with? Where is the value system here? Oh that’s right, we have to lie and make stuff up to win. Yanno, cause winning is the most important thing! Idiots.
Nothing really surprises me anymore. Sorry to sound like an old fart, but this world HAS gone insane!
